President David Farahi has been in the tour and transportation industry since 1986.  During his tenure as the Tour and Transportation Director at the Ramada/Marriott Fisherman's Wharf, he was frequently asked about outlet shopping excursions.  For example, spouses wanted the opportunity to shop while their significant others participated in company events. Moreover, many international visitors welcomed the opportunity to purchase name brand items at a discount for souvenirs of their visit.

Farahi expanded this concept by adding wine tasting to the outlet shopping tour. Thus, the "Sipping and Shopping" tour was born with the founding of Outlet Hop in 2001.  Outlet Hop has since expanded  to include shopping tours to Gilroy Premium Outlets, Vacaville Premium Outlets, or Petaluma Premium Outlets. Charter services are also offered for birthday parties, weddings, and group outings.
